Butthole Surfers - Double Live
http://www.buttholesurfers.com/DoubleLiveMP3.html
![]() In the mid 80's there were a bunch of bad sounding live bootlegs for sale. By '88 the band felt they could bootleg the band as well as everybody else, so they joined the crowd and released their own crappy bootleg too. Taking a portable DAT recorder on the road, they taped shows in the winter of '88. When they got back to Texas, they sorted through the DATs and compiled the best of it to a 2 disc, 29 song set on their newly formed Latino Buggerveil label. Slightly better sounding than most bootlegs of the time, only a limited pressing was made and it went out of print farily quickly. Since it's doubtful this will ever be reissued again, here all the songs in the MP3 format, for those who want it but are reluctant to cough up the 100 bucks or so for an original copy on Ebay. While these songs aren't sonic masterpieces, the MP3s have a stereo bit rate of 128 kbps, and sound pretty identical to the original cds. The MP3s were also taken from the UK pressing, which had better transitions between songs and slightly better fidelity than the US version. Original vinyl and cassette versions of this album are available on the Dry Goods page. ![]() |

Yeah, I think that figure stretches the truth some. The LP "limited edition" was limited to ten freaking thousand copies.
|
I got mine from the same page...
I've only half-listened to it once though. Just the other day, this was added: Butthole Surfers - Schlachthof, Bremen, Germany 1987-08-14 (*master*) http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-d....php?id=122405 |
I just wish i had seen them live in their prime.I once read that people used to puke and faint at their gigs on a regular basis.Awesome.
|
Nice. Thanks.

I sold mine for about £50. One of those things nice to look at, but I only played once or twice. I saw them live about 1989 and they were very good. No puking or fainting though. |
yea this botleg always looked enticing.Ive only heard their cover of "the one i love" off it and its fucking great.
I'll have to get since its as close to seeing the butthole surfers live as I'll ever get unfortunately. |
I bought one of my vinyl copies of this for $40.00
in austin texas, which raises the price a bit, and I got my second copy with the large insert boklet for under $20.00 both vinyl death to CD's. |
