Facebook Rant Gets Prison Time

Probably shouldn't advocate killing judges. Still. |
damn! makes you really wanna be careful about logging out of facebook when at work/public computer. somebody can fuck you up!
|
that guy kinda looks like Varg Vikernes.
|
--Okay, so the guy writes, "Kill your local judges" on his Facebook page.
--Threats are a bad thing. --But this seems like a very generalized threat. --The prosecutor claimed someone could read the statements and act on them. Fucking idiot prosecutor. --Because I read the statements in the fucking article. If reading the words "Kill your local judges" would cause someone to commit the act, then the newspaper that printed the statement should be sentenced as well. --Funny how 2nd amendment rights are ABSOLUTE! The first, not so much. |
there are no "rights" that shit went away as soon as the shadow government was created by Harry Truman. (CIA)
|
I dunno dude. My right to protect my property with a death machine seems pretty firm.
|
not exactly evolove,. There have been and continue to be, people who are sued by those who they shoot. You can kill someone in self defense and still be charged and jailed for manslaughter. It happens, even in Texas.
What happened was that the Patriot Act made it a crime to have "illegal" thoughts. The thought police is in full effect. |
Shit.
Then just about everyone in this forum is on a watch list by now. Right? Let's all wave hello to the poor Homeland Security officer who got the shit job of tracking us. --- That's really crazy Bytor. I'll go along with states having different approaches to laws, but different counties? Can Eminem sing his song "Kill You" in Dallas, but not Lubbock? |

I seriously don't get that. I was jut talking about this with my friend. How the fuck do people win lawsuits for being "assaulted" when they were committing a crime in the first place and the defendant was simply trying to stop said crime. |
By the way, the dude wasn't saying HE was going to commit any crime. The messages were, if anything, telling other people to commit crimes.
One message went: "stop shooting up schools and start shooting cops in courthouses." He's not saying he's going to do a damn thing. And for the prosecutor to claim that someone might read that message and actually do it is so fucked up, I'm seeing red. |
That's a crazy story.
I wanna be a DA. What if he changes his mind? "Y'know, I was thinking about it. No harm. Go ahead." Then the week after. "Actually, I was talking about this with the missus. We decided there's a moral issue here. Sorry folks. It's shut down." Then the new DA gets hit by a bus and an even-newer DA says, "Oh, go gamble and have your fun." |
