The bass/guitar player for this tour has been Mark Ibold. He is probably most notable as the bass player for Pavement, though he's been in some other bands and he has a lot of ponies. He used to be beardless. He smokes.

regarding the ponies I think you're confusing Mark with Nasty Bob N. and I'm not sure that Bob owns any, he just takes care of them.
Mark was in a pretty cool band in the late 80's before Pavement: The Dustdevils.

And he used to work at a Restuarant/Bar called the "The (Great) Jones" er something like that in Lower Manhatten, between his Pavement and SY stints.

awesome ! I cant wait to see that leg play bass, the crowd's gonna go nuts for it.

I met Mark last summer, and I thought he was rather nice...and cute .... in addition to being an awesome bass player.

gotcha. I'm sure Mark has spent plenty of time riding the fillies...those pavement guys were a horny bunch. And so were their fans.
