Anyone remember them? Something about that first record, Reading, Writing, Arithmatic really haunts me. A perfect disk. Blind wasn't so good, but there were some transcendent moments on Static and Silence.

Then, the singer and guitarist had a kid and broke up the band.

Anyone care?

I remember them well but they were shit then and i would imagine them to be even more shit now if they still existed.Unsuspected Dido anticipators if you ask me(which you don't but nevermind).

as somebody for a soft spot (or a hardon) for girlie voices i'll have to say i sort of like them, not in a big way, but i do have their album among my mp3s (no i would not buy it i think)

however much i like them i remember they were morrisey emulators rather than dido anticipators. i think morrisey had adopted them or something.

anyway i googled both names & hit this link. if you enjoy reading long articles online, enjoy. i have to get back to work though.

oh, marras, I think this is the first time that I don't agree with your opinion on music. I still have their first CD in my iPod and it works perfectly as a mood booster when I feel like shit. Similar effect like with "Heaven or Las Vegas" album by Cocteau Twins.
