im not from dublin but did live there for 9 years and i got out cuz i felt the city was beginning to turn a bit nasty. i mean ireland never had much of an ethnic diversity in its people. i remeber seeing a coloured guy on the street in wexford when i was about 8 and it was like, "what the....". as more and more cultures started getting into ireland due to our governments very very lenient laws on immigration, the "scum" element of dublin saw this as a threat and began to really stir the shit. now i would say there are more non nationals in dublin than there are dubliners. also there are more dubliners in wexford than there are wexfordians!!!!
its shit, but ireland still has a dumb social mentallity, we are still a very rascist and bigoted country and we still have a high number of scum walking the strets.
in dublin last week, this 16 year old scumbag decided to bully a 14 year of nigerian, this kid was born in nigeria but lioved in ireland since he was 8 months old so basically he is irish. he was bullied and turned into a slave by this pellet gun weilding scumbag..... the kid decided to stand up for himself and got shot in the eye with the pellet gun, all because he WOULDNT LICK THE SCUMHOLES SHOES!!!! guess where the scumbag is?????? free and at large with no charges, he is known to the police (or garda) but he CANT BE PUT ON TRIAL!!! the guy whom he bought the pellet gun of is in custody at the moment! banana republic is right, bob geldof said that about 30 years ago!!!!
