the town had quite a creepy vibe. it was almost completely deserted: no cars, people, shops. all the public places and gardens were wild, with plants taking over. quite the background for something scary.
apparently, at this moment there are eleven houses still owned by people living in them. in august 2009 84 people still lived there, most of them sold their house to the state and paid rent to stay there.
