Thought about playing the actual Bowie song, but decided maybe too obvious and/or kitschy (I know, I've never been afraid to be, but yeah...)
The first thing I played at KPSU was "The Quack is Back" by Smoosh (yes I started the show in Portland with pre-pubescent girl indie rock!) It was a way of declaring the 2.0 version of the show since I'd been off the air for two year since leaving KAOS in Oly after ten. I have no idea what the first song I played at KAOS was. I'd bet money it was by Sonic Youth though...
