Beyond th Mat is not about washed up wrestlers, it just includes them as 1/3 of the story. the book is amazing too.

again, I think it is age that makes a difference atsonic. yr too young to honestly imagine yrself with adult children that want nothing to do with you, to imagine your life as WASTED already. You ahve it all ahead of ya. I am on my way to 40, and luck willing I will live another 40, but the age thing really adds new layers to the onion of perspective.

I have talked to many local hipsters and kids and people I know and most under 30 did not enjoy the wrestler, while many over 30-40 really found it a moving and deep film.
