Hmm, yeah, Shadow of the Collosus used for $22 kinda sucks but at least you didn't pay $50 for it new like a lot of people did. Still, it's been a greatest hits title for a while, so I can't believe someone would charge you that much for it. I'd slap 'em! It's a pretty cool game, great atmosphere and storyline but it has some control issues and too much emptiness. There's just flat-out not much to do, and it gets frustrating. It's an easy game, but some of the bosses have patterns that are annoying -- you must do a precise jump or a precise climb, before the collosus throws you off.

Still, it's a game you'll probably want to play until the end, and the soundtrack is absolutely incredible. I hadn't played it for a few years so I just gave it away to a friend for free recently. But I will say that I had more fun after beating the game, just kinda riding the horse around and stuff. The environments are absolutely awesome. I HIGHLY reccomend Ico -- it has all the best elements of Collossus, but is a lot more rewarding. The soundtrack is nothing but heavenly drone and mysterious noises and whatnot (aside from a BEAUTIFUL acoustic song). The entire game is nothing but puzzles, aside from a few battles where you hit creatures with a stick (and later a sword, if you solve a puzzle). the handholding mechanic is genius. It's the one game I feel that really transports you to another place altogether.
