Maybe that's why Rain King doesn't work.
EDIT - Oh, no. It's not rewinding, is it? It's playing forwards. All is well.

On my pop up player, the tape got totally tangled in the mechanism and I had to pull it out, delicately remove the whole mess, untangle it, and rewind the tape by hand using a pencil. Slight warble now, but plays okay.

I perceive that we are beginning to benefit from the complete digitization and archiving of the sonic sound vaults by professional audio archivists mentioned a while ago. SYR 9 sounds awesome. Daydream-era demos/weird versions: priceless.
lastly, this may be treading thin ice, but i remember with past mixtapes someone posted instructions on how to capture the audio, but I can't find the instructions. this may be because it is against the rules to do so. if so, please do not post them again. If not, please post said instructions. or PM me or something...
