Making a living doing something that makes you happy is "sellin' out", I guess?
These issues never really meant anything to me. SY continued to make great music after signing to a major (though I don't like Dirty at all). I mean, an album like 1000 Leaves or NYCG&F on a major... is pretty insane, really. They made a good choice with Geffen, who supported them and promoted them pretty heavily imo.
