also, "my architect" is about the great louis kahn, although his estranged son gets lost in the fucking jerry springer drama of being a forlorn lovechild. annoying, but great buildings.

music: there's one about the runaways called "edgeplay" that's quite shit in the way it was shot, and also lots of finger pointing for which joan jett refused to participate, but it might satisfy some curiosity about the band, pair it up w/ the dakota fanning docudrama.

oh and if you haven't seen dig! you should, featuring springer-quality footage of anton newcombe's meltdowns. it's sad really. but anyway.

it's hard to find documentaries that leave out the soap opera these days.

oh, and the one about half japanese, "the band that would be king" is great-- for an extra treat you can hear gerald cosloy talk shit about sonic youth, ha ha, the irony, but really it's more about the drama and less about who did what to whom. very enjoyable.
