Dinosaur Jr were good until Lou Barlow left the band, after that they became J's solo band and they cannot be compared. The first 3 records are amazing in how innotive they were, they had so many different styles of songs and Your Living All Over Me is a great example. It had great songs with blistering solos and then the totally fucked up Poledo which is one the strangest songs ever made.
I think it's fair to find the latter Dinosaur stuff boring but the first 3 album were groundbreaking and even if you don't like Dinosaur Jr I would give Your Living All Over Me a chance because I think you would change your minds, anyway whatever
