i agree with CHABIB. if we start having USER MODS, then that automatically draws a line and creates a "parent/child" culture here and let's face it, not all "parents" are decent, most probably have more prejudices than their own kids.
let's also remember that once one of our own friends here becomes a USER MOD, you will end up having user mods that have particular friends that may not like other mods and that also creates disharmony within the group of user mods.
i think CHABIB has handled it very well, really can't ask for anything more. chabib may have indifferences politically, ethically or even morally, but he seems to be willing to set aside those differences if he sees someone is willing to change.
i'm just afraid that people will ban me because of my statements and beliefs, and that will certainly happen with user mods.
to add: if you're complaining about how boring or bad the threads are, then why don't some of you people stop relying on the rest of us and start making threads that you think people will talk about.
your mother doesn't work here, so stop acting like it's going to get done by someone else.
just for the record: do we need any more PIXIES threads or any more "WHAT IS KIM GORDON'S PANTIES ABOUT?"
boards aren't always going to be fun 100% of the time, but what i've seen lately is that the old users like myself sometimes have a hard time relating to the younger users here. chances are i'm not going to say a whole lot about "high school starts on monday" because i graduated in the early 90s and it isn't something i wish to post on.
as far as drama and threads you don't like, just ignore it. posting on them just to get on people's nerves is just causing more drama.
