I am not into user moderation either.
Yes, I am sort of down on the board right now, but I have seen it bounce back from the abyss before. Free speech means some inevitable crap will occur, but who am I or anyone else to say who gets to say what?
As fun as it sounds in theory, I don't really think it would be that interesting in practice. I am not interested in banning anyone, though the ignore button will probably come into play more.
Cliques are inevitable, but they don't have to be territorial and combative. I also think friendly ribbings need to be received in the spirit they are given more often than they are. A lot of stupid bickering could be avoided if people could learn to enjoy being on the receiving end of a good zinger every once in a while. CHOUT is extremely good at this.
