I discovered a new approach to sleep--or more specifically, to dealing with wakeful periods during the night. I used to worry about when I'd wake up in the middle of the night and not fall back asleep. Now I just go with it. I find that if I just use it to sort of meditate on my last dream, I can fall back asleep easily. Or if I don't fall back asleep, it's just kind of fun to think about the dream.

The trick is to keep from getting caught up in worries, in thinking about work and other real daily cares.
