Well, remember that Genghis Khan and his progeny didn't command from afar. They traveled with the army. So they had a chance to bring every young girl they found into their yurts as concubines. Plus there was a lot of rape.
Throughout history, not many great leaders were also generals that commanded their armies. All I can think of our Genghis Khan and his descendents, Julius Caesar, Napoleon, and Alexander the Great. Julius Caesar for a Roman I believe was pretty sexually conservative, after all, his successor wasn't even his biological son, and Augustus himself condemned his daughter for her promescuity. Napoleon had a small dick and was crazy over Josephine, despite her complete unfaithfulness and lavish spending. Alexander the Great died pretty quickly.
