anyway, i didn't think ponyo was so atrocious, but it was more for smaller children than his other work-- the dude makes children's moobys so you can't expect Xtreem Karnage. ponyo is more for 5 year olds than 12 year olds--hence the main character is that little chubby drooler and not some 10 year old or pubescent princess. all you need to notice is the age of the main character and that gives you the sense of who is the target audience.
