animism exists still, like the Shinto religion in Japan. quite popular. no deities, cuz all is divine.
Rastafarian religion is quite free of deities too. They believe that heaven is life itself, and that those who choose to see otherwise are the ones in hell.
besides, everyone knows that in the 25th century Captain Kirk and the Enterprise crew kill the vengeful wrathful petty god of the Old Testament.
