In LA, the Silverlake hipsters (which are Hipsters
par excellence) simply ADORE Swans, however I agree, I don't quite think Swans themselves (in whatever permutation there of) would agree with this or feel themselves to be hipsters or a hipster band or part of a hipster scene.

While they were much more "themselves" in that era, I dig the more melodic and
musical direction the sans-Jarboe Swans revival has gone.
