for some interviews with a MIU graduate gone christian check out the awesome movies "the new age: a pathway to paradise" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc0RRDOh6EM

and cult explosion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pjf-99c1NSE

way better movies than lynch could ever make. pathway to paradise is awesome

cult explosion features famed author/black panther/ NOI member frolicking around with a golden retriever in his dungarees talking about jesus haha. also features people involved with jim jones and stuff. as well as lots of info on things that aren't often called cults, such as hinduism, mormons and jehovah's witnesses

both films feature rabindranat maharaj who is one of my fav christian doc. personalities

also check out the hall & oates song "gino the manager" which i guess is about some sleazy mafioso style pop manager who's getting guru'd out for the new age lol "transcendetal meditation works fine ohhh"

i wanna get into TM. these born again christians think that it's very dangerous because you run a risk of demonic possession or becoming a satan worshipper/hindu(same thing it turns out) but i don't really believe in that so it just sounds like a cool way to use the mind to get new experiences without even leaving the house.
