I'm very dubious of the saying by Tennyson, "better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all". Surely people who have "never loved at all" have never experienced the soul shattering, deepest pain that comes with losing that love. People have murdered or committed suicide as a result of that loss. More sinister people have used "love" as weapon to destroy and exploit people. I'm more of a fan of "like". Less of a headfuck.
