Dave and Krist said they really wanted to showcase the epitome of what Nirvana shows were like, because the shows were epic good which was why live bootlegs were so popular (and expensive) during the mid-1990s.. Other great shows are the Seattle Live and Loud show from MTV and the "Last Great American Concert" disc but the audio quality on muddy banks is the superior of the three..

Nirvana was like Grateful Dead but heavy in regards to the propensity of bootleg records available, indeed almost every single Nirvana concert is available in bootleg form somewhere in the world
