Yeah I guess it does sound a little harsh... but for some reason [which I've never been able to pinpoint] I'm not a great lover of flowers... I do like cacti though.
In fact one of the most beautiful sights that I've ever seen was in the Joshua Tree national park after a rare downpour when all of the cacti started flowering simultaneously...
