By the by, as hipster_bebop_junkie and a few more on this board know, "no comprende" means:
(he/she/it) "doesn't understand"
OR
(you [in the formal "usted", singular]) "don't understand"
So when you hear gringos saying "no comprende" as "I don't understand", they're mauling the Spanish language and I want to punch them in the face. Just sayin'.
