Honestly I think my previous attempts to compare Kendrick to Bob Dylan were not that far off point. That's the direction he seems to be choosing, and that's fine. It just means his focus is likely always going to be lyrical. Style, genre, sonics, everything else will be secondary.
But we need rappers like this.
