What's really really funny and seems to be completely overlooked is that yesterday was supposed to be about infrastructure.
Mitch McConnell doesn't want an infrastructure bill, and I'm pretty sure even before yesterday Don wouldn't have been able to sweet talk him into it. But maybe.
So he goes ahead introduces something that has very little chance of materializing in the first place (but is a popular idea in theory), then completely pisses away all his remaining political capital in a handful of minutes.
No shit he's not a "real" politician.
But neither is my cat, and he could've finessed the situation a bit better.
