Legends of the pop underground Beat Happening unveil their definitive document

Remastered 7 x LP box set We Are Beat Happening now up for pre-order, including a 36 page book of liner notes

November 29th sees the release of We Are Beat Happening, a box set of the band's entire recorded output. The albums have been newly remastered by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios and this will be the first time the entire catalogue has been in print in over a decade.

The set consists of six albums over seven heavyweight LPs, with a brand new 36 page booklet written by Lois Maffeo featuring rare & unseen pictures and paintings from the band, housed in a hard-outer box. Revisit Beat Happening, Jamboree, Black Candy, Dreamy, You Turn Me On and Music To Climb The Apple Tree By, all in one lovingly crafted package.

Beat Happening was formed in Olympia, Washington at the dawn of the 1980s by Calvin Johnson, Heather Lewis and Bret Lunsford. Whilst they may have played their last show in 1992 and made their final recording in 2000, it's tricky to define their cessation. Along with the music they made and the shows that they played, the band created a connectivity that is still completely present.
