Salzburg the state capital or somewhere in the state of Salzburg? If the former: Cynical me says a couple of hours is just the right amount of time to spend there.
It's a pretty town though. And a friend of mine (who actually drew the picture I'm using as my avatar here) I haven't seen in ages lives there. Wish I was able to recommend you anything there, but I know precious little about the Alternative corners (as in record stores, nice places to hang out or whatnot) of Salzburg, but I'm sure you did your homework.
