hmmmm... i think she’s a more complex case, not a puppet of her donors (
although she started accepting big money recently). don’t forget #ShePersisted.... she’s a fighter. (speaking of fights, the supremes will be looking at the constitutionality of the agency she created. see:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...supreme-court/ )
she’s polling even with bloomberg at around 15% in various super tuesday contests, and while the date is considered make-or-break for both of them, we don’t know what will be the result just yet, or if biden can keep his south carolina momentum. some pundits are arguing he won’t. so a lot is still up in the air.
she also can add votes from both pete and klobuchar supporters. pete i had no idea but the polls are showing it, klobuchar supporters who want a woman president might not follow amy into biden’s camp.
i am not sure of what’s warren’s deal with bernie. they have been longtime allies and originally bernie ran in 2016 because she refused to. now she says she’s the most electable progressive and went after bernie a couple of times in the debates—till bloomberg showed up anyway and she found juicier prey. she still managed to complain about bernie’s supporters attacking her though.
if we end up without a clear winner and we go to a brokered convention she could end up being the compromise candidate everyone can live with—progressives liking her policies and the dnc having a loyal party member who once yielded to hillary. she may be less exciting than bernie, but also less polarizing. i think she’s a great policymaker just not a great campaigner, so that worries me a bit.
and if the shit hits the fan in old man city, we could end up with something like warren vs. bloomberg or warren vs biden for the nomination. at 70, she’s now “the kid” among all the candidates.
king maker is possible, but so is queen... even though it’s long odds from here, there’s a path. and she could also be bernie’s vp.
