I've listened to this every morning for several days now. I was shocked when I first heard it. I have 9 other Necks albums, and I'm used to hypnotic, dense, uptempo works. This is shockingly quiet, spacious, and mysterious. But it slowly, gradually, creeps up on you. It lingers in your brain even when you dismiss it as a failed work upon initial listens. I now see this as genius / masterpiece.
(Yes, I'm fucking back. Laughing/joking on Lightfoot's death day is pathetic, but, alas, most other forums are even worse, in my experience. I've cut my losses. I'll live with the stupid bullshit here. The good outweighs the bad. Plus, there's just 17 people here, vice 17000.)
