i saw that box at kim's nyc, i was tempted but it was beyond my spending money, i could have bought it but then i wouldn't be able to buy anything else.
about sunn o))): the whitebox consists of the vinyl versions of their 2003 and 2004 albums white 1 and 2, which are double-lps each. white 1 has a previously unreleased track, white 2 has a song which appeared on another edition but not on the regular cd one. three of the vinyls are colored white discs and the fourth is a picture disc. the box came with a one of a kind framed photo. one time edition of 450. i have to add that both records are in print and easily available on cd; my point, i guess, it's that if you are charging $77 for a four disc box then why not do an edition of 800; to me, they just did the low edition not for the music but for snobs to look down on however doesn't have it or for people to re-sell it at exorbitant prices on egay (which happened long before the set was sold out, one guy it on ebay two days after the box went on sale for $200). and it's no longer about getting your music out represented the best way as possible, it's just some fucking piece of expensive furniture.
