I swear I saw a Modern Times thread a week or so back, but every time I search for it, I cannot locate it, so I'm posting here.
Anyone should know that Dylan's new album's title is derived from Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times (if you so please, watch the entire movie here:
http://www.jonhs.net/freemovies/modern_times.htm), but what some may not realize is that the cover art is from "New York Night," a 1947 photograph by Ted Croner...
...and the exact same photo is used as the cover of Luna's 1995 ep, Hedgehog.
The Modern Times album designer, Geoff Gans says, "I'm really surprised! I really liked Luna...but never saw that release. I'm fairly sure Bob never saw that release either...strange things happen every day."
