The saddest thing about the breakup of At The Drive In is that they seemed to have such a perfect balance...the normal guys kept the weird guys from getting too far out in left field while the weird guys kept the normal guys from making everything boring.
Now that they've split (the weird guys formed the Mars Volta while the normal guys formed Sparta) that balance is lost.
I have a copy of Amputecture (the Mars Volta's latest) and it's okay, but some of the songs are WAYYY too long...
