Yeah for Me Dark Side and Daydream Nation are 2 of the most cohesive records ever made. Its one of those rare records in popular music that sounds like a 'piece' in the same way a Concerto or a Symphony does, as opposed to a collection of separate pieces. The Songs on Dark Side are more movements than songs. Thats the genius of Roger Waters era Pink Floyd. Its incredable that Syd (as much as i adore his work) got to become such an icon among the indie kids for being shambolic and Waters and co got slack for working their arses off for months in the studio, producing a wonderfully complex and beautiful piece and deservingly becoming very successful. Its something i've never quite gotten about hipsters actually.....
