Yeah, it gave me new respect for the process. I liked the part about how they do the run-off etching, using that frame to brace the hand as you etch in the vinyl. I didn't realize they were that careful--but of course, they would have to be, duh.

But it was also a little disconcerting to watch all that freshly pressed vinyl just plop down in piles. Is that how some of my new vinyl gets those minor surface scruffs, even thought it's been sealed and never played?

I need to go pull out some records and get a vinyl fix. Right now. I'm jonesing.
