I accept the apology, White people feel cornered and can't think of comebacks so they blurt out something stupid and horrible as a last line of defense. He seemed to be in some real frantic manic state, and maybe was trying to make some point that he did'nt really fully think through, like tying it to the Chris Rock "Niggers vs. Black People" bit, by any means it was completly inappropriate and stupid and hateful.
