Urusei Yatsura and Stony Sleep would've been enormous if they came out about 5 years after they did. In fact, there was a load of bands that weren't britpop bands that should've been huge over here. It always surprised me that Gene weren't bigger. I know lots of people hate them, but I think they're as good as a lot of things. Certainly more appealing to me than Suede, who had a better image but, to my mind, not the tunes. "The Britpop sins of Glice, episode 1".
