It is a little grating that their supposedly politically radical album ended up being the most thoroughly commercialised, but again, fuck it. Kids have always had a tendancy to go for things that seem edgy but in reality are as safe & fuzzy as can be. Often they grow out of it.

That said, collaborating with U2 is inexcusable. Bastards! (Shake fist.)
