I can't play the 7" for a while, as my turntable is fucked up, but I've listened to the Ambient Loop for Vancouver CD, and it is fantastic. I don't think it's solo Lee, there are Text of Light members (Alan Licht, Christian Marclay and William Hooker?) on there too, I think, and ambient ToL is a fairly good reference point for what it's like. "Glacial" is a good word too. If you imagine a film about Japanese fishermen, with lots of shots of gently rolling ocean waves, and then imagine the soundtrack to that as played by ToL, and if you like what you're imagining, then there's a good chance you'll like this CD.

I already had two copies of Road Movies before ordering this book/cd set, so a big question for me was "Is the cd good enough to make it worthwhile me having a third copy of the book?". Without any doubt, the answer is yes.
