when it came time to make spartacus, chinboy and kubrick fought over "creative differences" re:screenplay and other matters, with the end result being spartacus becoming some horrid hollywood sappy shitfest that showcases chinpoke as the greatest mantitties ever (or something) as and kubrick eventually "disowning" the movie. if you want to see how the man was capable of handling historical drama, look no futher than "barry lyndon" and compare such masterpiece to this cheeseball "maciste" movie.
