Ossify: 1980's London slang word related to the Argentine Tottenham Hotspur footballer Ossie Ardiles. When he scored the Tottenham fans would chant 'you've been Ossified' at their opposing numbers. When Tottenham were on the defence, the crowd would implore Ardiles to 'Ossify' the opposition.
