sonic youth could almost get away with doing a straight ahead dylan esque folk album if they wanted. their fans woould acutally give it a chance.

haha...metallica looses half their fan base simply cause they cut their heair. heaven forbid they attempt the folk album.

What I have heard from the Melvins annoys the hell out of me... sorry. I know what yr saying though. Metallica's fanbase nowadays seems to be 40 year old douchebags, and 13 year old "rockers."
