I definitely can listen to Non and appreciate the music without thinking about the fuck that made it, but I find his psuedo-fascist/satanist poser intellectualism to be downright boring. This is not lessened by his tendency to later deny he ever did, said, or belonged to every hokey viewpoint he temporarily embraces to appear "extreme". His "politics" is basically that of a 13 year old boy reading Nietzsche for the first time on acid. Why that inspires people to worship him, I have no idea, except that they must be even emptier than he is.
My wife struck up an internet friendship with Lisa "Suckdog" Carver, and I had the odd experience of making her dinner before her "reading" of Drugs Are Nice at Dunes in Portland. While we were waiting outside for the club owner to arrive, Lisa became convince that Boyd was there stalking her, and was using me to hide behind. That was certainly very strange, though I'm not sure that she wasn't hallucinating, like we all can when we are in the "territory" where crazy exes are ascendant.
