I do agree it is a problem of mine, BUT there are reasons the bands I love are popular.

Not that you actually ARE, but don't be ashamed for liking popular stuff. I can't stand people who ONLY like things that are either not popular or are unheard of. They are trying so hard not to be categorized and put into a group, but at the same time, that's exactly what they are doing to themselves.
