Yes, I knew who he was and I had read all of his books and I loved them all and I was a total intellectual as a kid, and I'm better than you cause I got into him at an early age. What do you think?

Of course I didn't but I knew his name and his face, and that he was an author. And yes i do remember I was exactly 11 when the commercial aired because I was taking an extra curiccular however you spell it, school activity at a community college and I was around college students alot, so I " KNEW " who WSB was per say, and that he was a famous novelist. That's why I said it made me wonder why he was in a commercial for shoes. It was ALSO the year Beastie Boys ILL Communications came out which was 1994, and that means I was ............ guess how old, ELEVEN
