As much as I think DJ should just roll over and die (great as they were 20 years ago), J has a great voice and one that's pretty unique and distinctive. Listen to Take A Run At The Sun, and Hand It Over for evidence. Lou's voice is dull and forgettable.
EDIT: For those who haven't heard either, a rough analogy:
J = Kurt Cobain
Lou = Dave Grohl
