I personally think lessons aren't the way to go for anyone wanting to learn an instrument. particulary with guitars - sure you might be able to do sweep arpeggios but it makes you a boring guitar player ultimatly my eyes.
maybe there is such a think as a good teacher but my experiance is that they'll try and fill your head with a load of bullshit oppinions and kill off all that is good about music.
