Yeah, but even the Osmonds would be sort of 'cool' in that Carpenters kind of a way. The Mary Chain were great but they did sort of invent that whole never-mind-the-quality-look-at-our-cool-record-collection phenomenon that spawned bands like Primal Scream (for obvious reasons) and Teenage Fanclub.
