Well, nobody has said anything incredibly ignorant in this thread. So I'm happy.
I have to say that I wanted to hang myself reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.
As far as late 19th century female writers go, the Brontes and Mary Shelley both kick that dumb bitch's ass.
